Dr. Alexandra Moore is the founder and medical director of Monte Vista Animal Hospital. She is here five days a week, providing best-in-class medical, preventative, and surgical care. Dr. Moore strives to build meaningful and lasting relationships with clients and patients by putting in extra time and attention and treating each one like family. Dr. Moore recalls that when growing up, the local veterinarian was a part of the family, a person whom you trusted and respected. They knew not only your pet’s birthday but yours as well. Dr. Moore has had a life-long dream of continuing this personalized care and sense of community for pets and their families.
Dr. Moore is a 3rd generation native Reno Nevadan. She is a proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. When not caring for her patients and clients, Dr. Moore loves spending time with her family (so much so that she talked her mom into being her hospital administrator), exploring this beautiful region, and cooking for friends and family with fresh ingredients from her garden.
