Addi is a first-year veterinary assistant who takes great pride in supporting pets and their families throughout every step of their visit. Whether it’s earning a pet’s trust, seeing a wagging tail, or offering comfort to nervous animals, Addi finds fulfillment in the small, meaningful moments that make this role so rewarding.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science at the University of Nevada, Reno, Addi is passionate about furthering her knowledge and skills in the field. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting the lake, and watching movies.
Robins updated bio: Robin is a dedicated veterinary professional with a passion for both animal care and client relationships. A proud graduate of Platt College Riverside, she has been making a difference in the veterinary field since 2019. Robin finds fulfillment in building meaningful connections with both her patients and their families, ensuring each visit is as compassionate as it is comprehensive.
Beyond her hands-on work, Robin has shared her expertise as a part-time instructor for the veterinary program at TMCC, mentoring the next generation of veterinary professionals. Outside of her career, she stays connected to nature, whether she’s hiking, kayaking, or indulging her curiosity by observing the many fascinating insects or animals she encounters. When she’s not outdoors, you can find her baking or reading, always finding joy in the simple things.

Mullai has been in veterinary medicine for four years and takes pride in her ability to connect with clients and patients. She also enjoys working with doctors and clients to plan the best care for her patients. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Nevada and is currently working towards her master’s degree at MSU.
Between being a mom, working, and school, what free time she has is spent cooking, working in the garden, and wrestling with her daughter and two dogs.
Kasey, a veterinary assistant with over 3 years of experience, received her education at Western Nevada College. Kasey believes that each animal deserves the utmost love and respect. Her greatest joy comes from witnessing sick or injured patients leave the clinic in significantly better health. She takes pride in serving as the advocate and voice for the animals under her care.
In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, and camping during the summer months. In the winter, she indulges in reading and painting as her preferred activities. Additionally, Kasey loves taking her dog for walks around the Reno area.
Robin graduated from Platt College Riverside and has been working in the veterinary field since 2019. She enjoys developing strong relationships with her clients and patients, which makes her work all the more fulfilling. Outside of work, she spends time with her family and enjoys activities like baking, hiking, and kayaking. Additionally, she works part-time as an instructor for TMCC’s veterinary program.
Dr. Afton Timmins was born and raised in Sparks, Nevada. She has loved animals all her life and is happy to be living her dream and passion as a veterinarian.
Dr. Timmins graduated with High Honors from the University of Nevada Reno, in 2017 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science Degree and a minor in Chemistry through the UNR Honors Program. After her undergraduate studies, Dr. Timmins earned acceptance to and attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St Kitts, with her final clinical year at UC Davis, where she achieved her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2021. She graduated at the top of her class with highest honors. During veterinary school, she made the President’s List all 4 years and is currently a member of the prestigious Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. Following graduation, Dr. Timmins went on to successfully complete a 1-year Internship at the renowned Equine Medical Center of Ocala, in Ocala, Florida where she continued to expand her knowledge and skills in the field of veterinary medicine. She has since worked as an equine veterinarian in Idaho.
Dr. Timmins is excited to be back in her hometown of Reno and returning to the fascinating world of small animal medicine. Her hard work ethic, integrity, and desire to pursue excellence in veterinary medicine has contributed to her many achievements in the field. Throughout her education, she has developed a passion and sincere interest in preventative care, internal medicine, and surgery. She finds great joy in being a relentless and effective diagnostician and discovering solutions for our pets to live long, happy, and healthy lives. Dr. Timmins is committed to creating meaningful relationships with owners as well as their pets by providing excellent, comprehensive, compassionate, and quality care.
Dr. Timmins loves spending time with her family, rotten kitty, Dudley, and riding her horse, Jazz. She also enjoys hiking, running, exercising, and reading.
Dr. Timmins is very excited to be a part of the Monte Vista Animal Hospital team. Dr. Timmins has a passion for continuing education in the ever-evolving field of veterinary medicine, and is committed to providing excellent quality care and compassionate veterinary services for our community.
Dr. Alexandra Moore is the founder and medical director of Monte Vista Animal Hospital. She is here five days a week, providing best-in-class medical, preventative, and surgical care. Dr. Moore strives to build meaningful and lasting relationships with clients and patients by putting in extra time and attention and treating each one like family. Dr. Moore recalls that when growing up, the local veterinarian was a part of the family, a person whom you trusted and respected. They knew not only your pet’s birthday but yours as well. Dr. Moore has had a life-long dream of continuing this personalized care and sense of community for pets and their families.
Dr. Moore is a 3rd generation native Reno Nevadan. She is a proud graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, and Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology with distinction, a minor in psychology, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, and is a dean’s list and WICHE recipient. Upon graduating from vet school in 2012, Dr. Moore quickly climbed the ranks, becoming Senior Associate Veterinarian for a well-respected, local integrative practice in Reno. Throughout her career, Dr. Moore has given educational talks to the community and has donated her professional skills to help shelter pets. She has a passion for dentistry and has completed advanced dentistry training from the Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine Center for Continuing Professional Education, the Veterinary Dental Forum, and the American Veterinary Dental College.
When not caring for her patients and clients, Dr. Moore loves spending time with her family (so much so that she talked her mom into being her hospital administrator), exploring this beautiful region, and cooking for friends and family with fresh ingredients from her garden. Dr. Moore is married to her best friend, Adam. They have three delightful children, August, Greta, and Ingrid, a loyal Pudelpointer Ellie, and eight sassy chickens.
