Proudly owned and operated by a 3rd generation Nevadan and lifelong local, MVAH was born out of the desire to bring personalized veterinary care back to Reno and its surrounding communities.

Associate Veterinarian

Qualifications

  • Surgery and dentistry
  • Diagnostic work ups and treatment planning
  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) Required
  • Licensed and in good standing in the State of Nevada Required
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience

  • Salary Range: $105,000 $165,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Veterinary Assistants

Qualifications

  • Safe, confident handling of both dogs and cats
  • Ability to assist with exams, procedures, and medication administration
  • Experience with radiographs, surgical prep, patient monitoring, and recovery
  • Comfort with basic lab work (CBC, chemistry panels, fecals, urinalysis, ear cytologies, etc.)
  • Reliability, organization, and calmness under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Experience with IDEXX NEO or similar veterinary software
  • Familiarity with the treatment room and inventory flow
Veterinary Technician
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection 
  • Intubation
  • Assisting with diagnostic imaging, including digital radiography and ultrasound
  • Anesthesia monitoring (vitals, depth assessment, adjustments)
  • Medication calculation and administration (IV, IM, SQ, CRIs)
  • Fluid therapy setup and maintenance
  • Surgical prep, sterile technique, and instrument handling
  • Patient monitoring (vitals, pain scoring, trend recognition)
  • Nursing care for hospitalized patients (nutrition, wound care, hygiene)
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
  • Client communication and education regarding treatments and preventative care
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician required (VTIT will be considered)
  • 2+ years working in a veterinary clinic
Customer Service Representative

Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service experience (veterinary or medical setting preferred). Excellent communication and multitasking skills 
  • Friendly, professional demeanor and ability to remain calm under pressure. Comfortable with computers, phone systems, and digital records. Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in a veterinary or animal care setting 
  • Familiarity with veterinary software (IDEXX Neo or similar)
